He also had 3 sisters that came to Canada as home children. They are listed as Shepherd, when it should be Shepperd. Their info is:

Emma's birthday is 17 Nov 1895 and her last should also be spelled Shepperd

Adding Sheppard as an alternate surname for Shephard, Shepherd is not required because they share the same soundex code: S163.
