I have a name that does not show up on the list of Sullivans in Nova Scotia though she is on the page below Line 10 - "Marey Sullivan" http://automatedgenealogy.com/census/Vi ... OVA+SCOTIA Also, I cannot link her to her 1911 Listing as "Mary Sullivan" even though I make sure the month, year, etc are all the same. http://automatedgenealogy.com/census11/ ... mode=proof Line 2 I had another name last week that would not link to it's 1901 matchup either so I thought I had better report the problem in case it's wider spread. I have been doing lots of linking and they go OK. Thanks. Cheryl |

Hi Cheryl - I think I have the answer to your first problem. I adjudicated this very sub-district just days ago (over 500 corrections!). I knew, Tom Pollack, the proofreader as he was a member of my branch of the NBGS and unfortunately he died last year, so I saw no point in retaining his corrections. (As a practice, because I appreciate seeing when my corrections have been addressed, I generally leave all but the anonymous corrections in place as I know they will disappear when Lindsay runs one of his periodic system refreshes.) Because there was likely a correction to Marey Sullivan, until his next refresh she will continue to show up under the pre-correction spelling when doing a search. With respect to your linking problem, I have had no similar issues. Are you using the family linking function at the bottom of the 1901 pages, or the linking centre? If it was the former and there were household number corrections accepted, then that will screw up the family linking until after a refresh. I successfully linked Marey (1901 line 10) and Mary (1911 line 2) via the linking centre. You mentioned matching birth months and years and I'm seeing different ones, so maybe I've misunderstood, but with the sisters Margaret and Bridget matching, it is hard to believe this isn't the same Mary. If I got it wrong, I'm happy to unlink. Cheers, Mark |
