Please note an alternate surname for the following entry. Transcription is correct but Census taker confused the first and last names for the head of family, then continued the error for the rest of the family.

1901 Census of Canada Page Information
District: BC BURRARD (#1)
Subdistrict: Vancouver (City/Cité) D-7 Page 1

20 5 Adoniram Buritt M Head M May 31 1834 67

21 5 Adoniram Mary F Wife M Jun 29 1849 52

22 5 Adoniram C??. M Son W Apr 28 1868 32

23 5 Adoniram Mabel F Daughter S Mar 29 1891 11

24 5 Adoniram Arthur M Son S Feb 17 1898 3

Surname of each individual is actually BURRITT. Adoniram was the first name of the head of household. Also Mabel and Arthur are the children of Herb and grandchildren of Adoniram.

As these are errors of the census taker, I am offering the corrected information as alternates as opposed to corrections.

Transcription Correction:
An additional note for this entry is that the (C??) should be read as Herb.

For comparison the 1911 Census Entry for the Herbert Burritt family is:
1911 Census of Canada

6 241 Burritt Mabel F Daughter S Mar 1891 20 1901
7 241 Burritt Arthur Gordon M Son S Feb 1898 13 1901

Brian,

The transcriber or an adjudicator corrected the given name for Herb.
I added Burritt as an alternate surname because the given name was written as the surname for every other family members.
With the link to the 1911 census, the relationship for Mabel and Arthur is made clear.

Thanks,
