Over the course of time the administrators have had to add restrictions to membership because of spammer activity. It appears future restrictions may be necessary as we have been inundated by suspicious membership requests over past 48 hours. Each request has been reviewed for signs that it might come from a legitimate individual with an interest in Automated Genealogy, and in the absence of signs of legitimacy most requests are being ignored.

The downside of this is that occasionally a legitimate request will mistakenly be ignored. Our apologies for this. If this has happened to you (prior to this trouble, requests were almost always approved in less than 24 hours), please post under "Guest Questions" and we will find and activate your membership request.

Unfortunately the Guest Questions forum has been the subject of spam attacks tonight so has now been blocked.

There is an Automated Genealogy Facebook Group as an option for those who are not already members of this forum and wish to communicate.
